Payyanur: The 5th year celebration of Payyanur Dot Com and the Award Ceremony of Payyanur Souhruda Vedi, Abu Dhabi was held on 9th August 2004 at Payyanur. Sri. M V Raghavan, the minister for co-operation inaugurated the function at Govt Boys High School Payyanur. P Balan Master presided over the function. M V R presented the Souhruda Vedi award to Payyanur Network Channel. Its director Jayakrishnan received the award from the minister. The minister remembered the whole hearted support and co-operation offered by the gulf-malayalees in setting up the Pariyaram Medical College. He told that the medical college is equipped with all modern facilities available in the health care sector and the hospital is competent to any of its kind. He requested the NRI community support for setting up a cancer care centre at Pariyaram.
